How FadeMark™ Works
FadeMark™ is applied by a radiation therapist and guarantees the patient receives a safe tattoo designed to last through the course of a radiation therapy program, not for life.
The Ink
Made of medical grade bioabsorbable and biocompatible polymers commonly found in medical devices such as absorbable sutures and meniscal tacks. Safety studies are being conducted in partnership with Henry Ford Health System.
The Applicator
Sterile, for single use only. Needle groupings are used in microblading and tattooing. Applicator includes retractable and fixed-depth needles.

Patients will no longer have a tattoo that serves as a permanent reminder of their cancer treatment. An ideal product for those with an aversion to traditional tattoos, either due to religious or personal reasons. The inclusion of retractable needles reduce chances of unwanted needle sticks, while fixed-depth needles ensure accurate tattoo placement.

SterritTatt and Accu-Tatt are the most commonly available permanent tattoo products for radiation therapy.
Similar to these products, FadeMark™ can be used to apply 1 to 2mm dots. It comes with a 5 round microblading needle, encased in a safety cartridge.
Unlike these products, FadeMark™ has a retractable needle gauge to reduce the risk of needle stick injuries and is impermanent.
The FadeMark™ tattoo typically lasts between 6 to 15 months. The exact fade duration varies due to a number of factors such as the amount of ink transferred, and the patient's immune system.
The ink is a dark forest green, that may appear black on certain skin tones.
As with other tattoo inks, there is a risk of irritation, sensitivity or allergic response.
Both are made of similar materials. However, our recreational ink may contain additional color additives to obtain various artistic functionalities and designed to last much longer than FadeMark™ ink.
FadeMark™' comes with a needle cartridge with fixed depth that can be adjusted from 1.4mm to 1.7mm.

Radiation therapy and chemotherapy are both cancer treatments that can have similar goals, but they differ in how they treat cancer cells and the areas of the body they target.
- Radiation therapy: Uses high-energy beams like X-rays or protons to damage the DNA of cancer cells in a specific area of the body. Radiation therapy is also known as radiotherapy.
- Chemotherapy: Uses drugs that circulate through the bloodstream to kill or shrink cancer cells almost anywhere in the body. Chemotherapy is also known as "chemo".
